JEE Mains Category Certificate 2025 Guidelines: The NTA has started the application process for the JEE Main 2025 January Session. The last date to complete the registration process is 22 November 2024. Candidates aiming to take the JEE Main 2025 exam must complete the application process by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

This year, NTA introduced new guidelines for the JEE Main 2025 application process.  Candidates belonging to OBC and EWS categories must provide their category certificate ID, certificate issuing date, and the name of the issuing officer when filling out the application form. Candidates who don’t follow these essential guidelines may not be able to complete the application process. Therefore, it is crucial to know the revised rules of NTA before starting the JEE Main 2025 application process.

JEE Main 2025 Caste Certificate Submission Guidelines

Candidates belonging to specific categories, such as ST, SC, OBC, etc., need to enter their caste certificate number during the JEE Main 2025 registration. Although uploading the certificate is not required when filling out the JEE Main application form, candidates must have the certificate ID.

For the JEE 2025 counselling stage, only caste certificates issued after April 1, 2025, will be accepted. However, candidates should enter the caste certificate number from their existing certificate—either state or central—while completing the application form.

If candidates need a new certificate, they must apply for a state caste certificate before the application process. It takes nearly 10 to 15 days to process the caste certificate. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates apply for the certificate in advance. Candidates must ensure their caste certificates are issued by competent authorities, as certificates from unapproved sources will be considered invalid.

JEE Main 2025 Reservation Policy

The JEE Main 2025 reservation policy aims to offer equal access to educational opportunities across various categories. To get the benefit of reservation policy in JEE 2025, candidates must provide their caste certificate ID during registration. Seat reservations in JEE are designated as follows:
