CAET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification Criteria
To take the CAET exam, candidates must have the following education qualifications:

Minimum 75% aggregate marks in Class 12(or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and one additional subject.

Age Limit

Previous IIT Admissions

Candidates are allowed to attempt the CAET exam a maximum of two times in their lifetime. Candidates who exhaust this limit can not take the CAET exam further.
CAET 2025 Registration Process
Registration for CAET 2025 will be conducted online through the official CAET portal. Candidates must complete all the steps required for a successful CAET application.

How is CAET Rank List Created?
Only candidates who have taken all the papers of CAET exam are eligible for the ranking process. To determine a candidate's rank, IIT Abu Dhabi calculates their combined score in the entrance test by adding their marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics papers. Further, the combined score of candidates is compared to determine the rank list.
In the event of a tie, the following tie-breaking rules are applied:

The candidate with higher marks in Mathematics gets a higher rank.

If the tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in Physics is ranked higher.

If a tie still exists after these steps, the candidates get the same rank.
Candidates must score a minimum of 10% in each subject and an overall minimum of 35% to be included in the CAET rank list.
