DASA 2024 Eligibility Criteria:
For Undergraduate (UG) Courses:
-
Indian citizens who have studied for at least two years, including 11th and 12th grade or their equivalent, in a foreign country within the last 8 years and have a valid qualifying exam (JEE-Main) rank/score from abroad are eligible under this scheme.
-
About 15% of the seats available for admission in various institutions are reserved for this category of students. These reserved seats, distributed proportionally across different disciplines, are extra. Currently, this scheme offers around 3900 undergraduate (UG) and 1300 postgraduate (PG) seats.
-
Getting admitted through DASA is more straightforward because they use a separate merit list based on JEE (Main) rank. After that, centralised counselling is conducted by the DASA Coordinating Institute.
For Postgraduate (PG) Courses:
-
To be eligible, applicants must have completed a four or five-year undergraduate program in Engineering/Technology or a related field for M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., M.Des., and MURP. For the MBA program, an appropriate undergraduate degree from any educational stream recognised as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiuweb.org), UGC (www.ugc.ac.in), AICTE (www.aicte-india.org), or other relevant statutory bodies, is required.
-
Applicants should possess a valid minimum total score of 300 in the GRE Revised General Test (combining Verbal and Quantitative) for eligibility in M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., and M.Des. programs. A minimum GMAT Test Score of 480 is required for the MBA program.
-
Candidates who are Foreign Nationals, PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin), or OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India) are eligible if they have completed an undergraduate program in any country, including India.
DASA Meri List 2024
Authorities will create the DASA Merit List 2024 once all candidates submit their application forms. Separate merit lists will be created for each course, with candidate rankings determined by their performance in the entrance examination and their indicated preferences. In cases where two or more candidates share the same rank, an inter-se merit list will be established. Selection for the counselling round will be based on the finalised merit list.
DASA 2024 Selection Process
Candidates listed in the DASA Merit List will be invited for the DASA 2024 selection process. For undergraduate courses, there will be four rounds, and for postgraduate courses, there will be two rounds. It is necessary to participate in the first round to validate your choice.
You can decide whether to accept or decline the allotted seat option if selected in the first round. Candidates who accept will receive information about the course and institute, along with a provisional allotment letter after that, they can choose round 2, then round 3, and so on until the final (4th) round.
Those who decline will go directly to round 4 or the spot round process. They won't have the option to participate in rounds 2 and 3.
DASA 2024 Counselling Process
DASA 2024 counselling process will be conducted for all eligible candidates. It's an online process that will start in April 2024 for undergraduate courses and in May 2024 for postgraduate courses organised by NBE.
