The NEET 2024 UG age limit, subject restrictions, and the type of school requirement have been lifted according to the revised NEET eligibility criteria in 2024. NEET Eligibility: Details of Qualifying Examination Codes for NEET 2024
Code 01: Candidates appearing for their Class 10+2 exam and waiting for their board's result must choose Code 01. However, they must have qualified for their Class 12 as per the specified criterion by the time of admission; otherwise, they will become ineligible.
Code 02: Aspirants studying for the higher/senior secondary examination or ICSE equivalent to the Class 12 examination and coming after a period of 12 years of study should select Code 02. According to the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), the last two years of this study must include science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Biotechnology, & Maths or any other elective subject with English taken as a core subject.
Code 03: Candidates who have successfully completed their Intermediate/Pre-degree Exam in Science from an Indian University/Board or other recognized body, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, & English as a compulsory subject, must choose Code 03. The course should also have a practical test in science subjects. Candidates whose Class 12 is completed by a state board must also select this code.
Code 04: Candidates who have completed a Pre-professional/Pre-medical Exam after passing either the Higher Secondary Exam or the equivalent exam with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, and English should choose Code 04 while applying.
Code 05: Candidates pursuing a three years degree course from a recognized University and have qualified for the first year, including practical tests in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, with those subjects being mandatory, must choose Code 05. It is important to note that the qualifying exam here must be a University Exam, and candidates should have passed the earlier qualifying exam, namely 10+2, with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core courses.
Code 06: Candidates who qualify for the BSc Exam from an Indian recognized University and have passed the earlier qualifying exam (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, English & Biology, with not less than 2 of the subjects Chemistry, Physics, & Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology, must select Code 06 during the application process.
Code 07: Candidates should select this option if they have passed any other exam that has been determined to be comparable to the Intermediate Science Exam of an Indian University or Board, which covers the final two years of 10+2 study in the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology/biotechnology and includes practical tests in these subjects. This code is also applicable to candidates who have completed the qualifying exam from a foreign country.
