The National Eligibility and Entrance Test, or NEET entrance exam, is a highly competitive entrance examination. The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the exam. It is for students who want to study medicine and dentistry in public or private colleges across the country. NEET exam was introduced by the Government of India in 2013 as a single examination. It aims to eliminate multiple state-level and institution-level medical entrance exams. The selection process for the NEET exam is solely on merit.
